posted Jul 13, 2017, 9:08 AM by Brenda Collins   [ updated Jul 13, 2017, 9:12 AM ]

Dear Parents of Incoming Kindergarteners,

Welcome to Newmarket Elementary School!  We have been busily preparing for the upcoming school year and look forward to meeting you and your child. We know you and your child will have a wonderful experience at NES.

As we mentioned at our Kindergarten information night in May, we will be holding our Kindergarten screening on Tuesday, August 1st and Wednesday, August 2nd.  During this process your child will be assessed in reading readiness and number awareness.  This process will help us provide a program that best meets each child’s needs and to create academically balanced classes.  We will assign your child to a specific teacher and classroom after the screening process is complete.

We ask for your participation and cooperation in completing the screenings. Please bring your child to the school according to the schedule below. The screenings are arranged alphabetically by last name. If you’re unable to have your child attend the screening at your scheduled time, please contact the school at your earliest convenience. (659-2192)
