Healthy Holidays

Welcome back! We hope everyone enjoyed the extra-long weekend. The holidays are underway and we all know that life can get hectic this time of year, so here are a few ways to stay healthy and stress less during the busy holiday season.

1.    Eat healthy foods: Enjoying a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables is an easy way to keep from over-indulging in less-than-healthy treats.

2.    Drink Water: Staying hydrated can give your immune system a boost and can help keep you from getting sick during the cold and flu season. Aim to drink half your body weight in oz and adjust according to your activity level.

3.    Exercise: 30 minutes of exercise per day increases the function of serotonin and stimulates the release of endorphins. Both of these can help with mild to moderate depression, improve sleep and help maintain a healthy weight.

Wishing you all a healthy and stress free holiday season!
